V2® Vantage Software

V2® Vantage software represents the next stage in Optos’ commitment to continuous improvement of the optomap® Retinal Exam and optomap® plus Medical Retinal Exam for both the practitioner and patient.

V^2® Vantage software’s clinical advancements include; ResMax™ High Resolution Enhancement for the Central Pole; Targeted Ophthalmoscopy view which simulates the view of a BIO; added image artifact counting; enhanced retinal drawing tools; and the capability to easily export optomap^® Retinal Exam images.

Patient education is enhanced with exciting new features: 3D Wrap™ Patient Orientation Tool, an expanded Image Library, an added customized “quickprint” patient takeaway output and trial access to selected Eyemaginations educational 3D video animations.

Practitioners benefit from improved practice performance reporting, more procedure codes and other usability enhancements.

All of these improvements reflect Optos’ ongoing commitment to deliver value to all of its Partners and patients through the optomap^® Retinal Exam and optomap^® plus Medical Retinal Exam.

Clinical Improvements

• ResMax™ found in optomap^® plus Medical Retinal Exam - ResMax™ will scan the central pole of the retina instead of the normal ultra-widefield scan. It applies the pixels into a smaller area, resulting in approximately 10-15% increase in resolution.

• Image Artifact Counting found in optomap^® plus  - The software will count annotation items. A count of each distinct artifact type in each sector of the overlay grid will be displayed, and a total for the whole image will also be displayed.

Patient Education

• 3D Wrap™ Patient Orientation Tool - Review will display a 3-dimensional graphical model of an eye, including the projection of the patient’s optomap^® Retinal Exam image on its interior surface for use as a patient education tool.
  
  
• Patient Takeaway - Printed output can be customized by defining top and bottom image banners so that a patient image can be quickly printed for patient marketing.
  
  
• Eyemaginations Quick Links - V^2® Vantage users have the opportunity to use a 90 day trial of selected Eyemaginations educational animations. Easy purchase plans of Eyemaginations are also available with new contracts.
  

Practice Management Productivity

• Practice Performance Statistics - The local usage viewer will be enhanced to show more detailed practice performance statistics. The local usage viewer will show a table of billable patient sessions and new filters. The software will display progress against the Monthly optomap^® Retinal Exam Target and will display a progress bar and percentage measure of the cumulative number of all procedures in the current month.
