optomap® retinal imaging has been available in the UK since 1999 with both optometric and NHS sites offering the optomap® Retinal Exam. Practitioners who have adopted the technology are delighted by the clinical benefits offered and by the uptake from their patients.

The optomap® Retinal Exam provides the following benefits:

Widefield view of the back of the eye (the retina). Up to 80% of the retina seen in a single on-axis image
No requirement for dilation (down to 2mm pupil)
Very patient-friendly process with an image taken in less than a second and without contact
200 degree digital image is *excellent for retinal and systemic disease detection, tracking and management (*independent multi-center trial data on file demonstrates optomap® has roughly same sensitivity as dilated binocular indirect ophthalmoscopy)
High level of patient education and satisfaction
The ability to differentiate your practice to an increasingly health conscious public on the basis of the highest standards of eye and general health care provision

Our Access Technology Now Agreement (ATN) means the optomap® Retinal Exam is available with no capital outlay. Practices are charged on a “per patient” basis. The price per patient includes all installation, training and service support as well as assistance with marketing and PR. There are no other costs with optomap® .

We work in partnership with our customers and provide full clinical, marketing, training and field service support. We have significant experience in successfully implementing optomap® , and can bring that to bear in your practice. Our experience has shown that patients do value the increased level of care optomap® delivers and are happy to pay extra for peace of mind.

Increasingly, local ophthalmologists are adopting optomap® viewing software so that optomap® retinal images can be emailed to them and viewed in their consulting rooms. We provide this software free to referral ophthalmologists selected by our optometrist customers.
